Cosa conviene fare adesso
Parliamone.

Italy was a pioneer: the SdI has been the norm for years and for our companies e-invoicing is now routine. The rest of Europe has accelerated — and it is no longer a forecast. We are halfway through 2026 and the obligations are kicking in one after another.
If you manufacture in Italy but sell to Germany, France or Belgium — or have group companies abroad — the topic has already crossed the border. It is no longer just Italian localization: it is a multi-country project.
Where we really stand (June 2026)
- Belgium — B2B e-invoicing already mandatory since 1 January 2026, for all companies, over the Peppol network.
- Poland — The national KSeF system already started in 2026: large taxpayers from February, everyone else from April.
- France — The next big milestone: from 1 September 2026 all companies must be able to receive e-invoices, and large and mid-sized companies must also issue them; smaller ones from September 2027. And France does not only require the invoice — it also requires e-reporting.
- Germany — Receiving already mandatory since January 2025; issuing from 1 January 2027 (above €800,000 turnover) and from 1 January 2028 for everyone. Formats: XRechnung and ZUGFeRD/Factur-X.
- Italy — The SdI has been the norm for years.
And in the background there is ViDA (VAT in the Digital Age), adopted by the EU on 11 March 2025: e-invoicing mandatory for intra-EU B2B transactions from 1 July 2030, with national regimes to harmonize by 2035. The direction is now law.
The real problem is not "doing e-invoicing." It is doing it in several countries, each its own way.
Every country has its own format, channel and rules: XRechnung and ZUGFeRD in Germany, Factur-X and certified platforms in France, Peppol in Belgium, KSeF in Poland, the SdI in Italy. A tool that makes you compliant in one country but needs a different integration for the next is not a solution: it is a cost that multiplies with every deadline.
And issuing is not enough: you also have to receive — in Germany and France receiving is the first thing to become mandatory — and, in some cases, report. France, for example, introduces e-reporting: the aggregated reporting of VAT data and of collection and payment data, for transactions not covered by the domestic B2B invoice. Three different things — issue, receive, report — multiplied by each country.
You already have the starting point: the XML Infor produces for Italy
This is our idea, and it is why an Infor company starts ahead. Infor's Italian localization already handles e-invoicing and generates the invoice XML for the SdI. That work — extracting the right data from the ERP and producing a structured, valid electronic document — is already done and proven every day.
"Our idea is simple: do not start from scratch for Europe — use the XML that Infor already produces for Italy as the starting point."
Here is how the work is split:
- TwgEU, the TwinGroup connector, takes the XML that Infor's localization already produces and adapts and routes it to the formats and channels required by other European countries.
- Transmission is handled by Unifiedpost: the certified network that delivers the invoice in each country's format and channel — Peppol, national platforms and so on — and keeps itself up to date when the rules change. It chases the deadlines, not you.
- Where a country asks for more — like French e-reporting, with VAT aggregation and the reporting of collections and payments — our layer covers these additional requirements too, not just the invoice.
The result: one connection from your ERP, one partner, all countries. You reuse the investment you have already made in Italian invoicing and extend it to the rest of Europe, instead of building a new integration for every nation.
And if you already have a provider you want to keep? No lock-in. In that case TwgEU simply converts the XML into the destination country's format and returns it into XA: you handle the transmission, with the channel you already use. Unifiedpost is the turnkey route, but the connector works either way — the choice is yours.
And the passive side? The invoices you receive from suppliers are handled with TwgFEP, which imports and records them directly into XA with no double entry — exactly the capability Germany and France require first. No replacing the ERP, no rebuild-from-scratch project: an operational layer on top of the Infor you already use.
Multi-country is no theory for us
Multi-country e-invoicing, for us, is not an experiment: we already run it for clients like SKF between Italy and Germany, in production for some time. TwgEU was born precisely from this experience — it takes what we learned in the field and makes it repeatable, for any company on Infor XA or LX.
What to do now
With Belgium already mandatory and France in September, time is short:
- Map the countries where you issue, receive and must report, with their respective dates.
- Check what your Infor already produces: for Italy the XML is already there — the point is what is missing for the other countries.
- Set up a single ERP → provider connection that covers all countries, reusing the XML you already have, instead of tackling them one at a time.
Operating in multiple European countries?
On Infor XA or LX and need to handle e-invoicing beyond Italy? Let's set things up once, done right. Let's talk.
