Company surges to new heights in enterprise mobility market in 2013; doubles revenues; triples staff; moves to new corporate headquarters

Infor, one of the leaders in Enterprise software and services with more than 70,000 customers, announced it has completed the acquisition of TDCI , Inc. The deal, initially announced on April 23, broadens the range of Infor by integrating advanced solutions for products management configuration for enterprises belonging to the manufacturing sector and the distribution sector . The new features will enable companies to maintain expert knowledge about product in models easily manageable,  to guide users in the selection of products, features and options that best meet their needs and to provide specific configurations , which include models , documents and images.

Popular enterprise mobility blogger Brian Katz recently posted “CoIT? No, It’s CoUX!” a quick re-examination of how we use the phrase “consumerization of IT.” His point is mainly that it’s about the user, providing them what they need quickly, and making it “disappear” so they can get back to work. Though some may argue that it’s just semantics, he is actually on to something.

Everyone’s heard the drill before about enterprise mobility: it’s about making your employees more productive, “increasing operational efficiency,” and other anecdotal phrases that while true might be hard to quantify. What’s missing in this message is the fact that mobile is really about making data work harder for you, not data making people work harder.
